Terms and conditions
Last updated
These terms cover the Transmit IPTV app and the website at www.transmitiptv.app. “Transmit IPTV”, “we” and “us” mean the team that makes the app. “You” means anyone who uses the app or the website.
Accepting these terms
By installing or using the app, or by using the website, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use them.
You get the app from Google Play, so Google’s own terms also apply to that download.
What Transmit IPTV is
Transmit IPTV is a free media player for Android TV and Google TV, on Android TV 9 and newer. It plays the M3U playlists and Xtream Codes sources that you add to it.
It is a player only. We don’t provide, host or distribute any channels, playlists or subscriptions, and we don’t sell access to any. We are not your provider, and we don’t recommend or vouch for any provider.
Your content, your responsibility
You choose what to add to Transmit IPTV, so you are responsible for it.
- Only add playlists, logins and programme guide (EPG) sources that you have the right to use.
- Follow your provider’s terms and the laws where you live, including copyright law.
- Keep your TV and your provider logins safe. Anyone who can use your TV can watch your channels, unless you lock them with a PIN.
The app connects straight from your TV to the sources you add. We don’t see what you add or watch, and we don’t check it. If a source is unlawful, that is a matter between you and your provider.
The closed beta
Transmit IPTV is in closed beta on Google Play. While the beta runs:
- Access is by invitation only. Requesting an invite doesn’t guarantee a place, and we decide who gets one and when.
- The app is unfinished. Features may change, move or disappear, and things may break.
- Your invite is for you. Don’t share your access or pass beta versions of the app on to others.
- We may end the beta, or your place in it, at any time.
If you send us feedback, bug reports or ideas, we may use them to improve Transmit IPTV without paying you or owing you anything. Don’t send us anything you want to keep confidential.
Your licence to use the app
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Transmit IPTV on your own devices for your own non-commercial use, as long as you follow these terms.
We own the app and the website, including their code, design, name and logo. These terms don’t transfer any of that to you.
You may not:
- copy, change, sell, rent out or redistribute the app
- reverse engineer, decompile or take apart the app, except where the law allows it
- remove or change our name, logo or any notices in the app
- install the app on devices you sell, or bundle it with channels, playlists or subscriptions, in a way that suggests we provide them
- use the app or the website to break the law or infringe anyone’s rights
- use the app or the website in a way that harms them or other people who use them
Free of charge
Transmit IPTV is free to use. We don’t charge for the app, the beta or an invite. If someone asks you to pay for Transmit IPTV itself, it isn’t us.
If we ever introduce something you have to pay for, we’ll tell you first. You will never be charged without agreeing to it.
Trademarks
Transmit IPTV, the Transmit wordmark and the Transmit logo are our trademarks. Don’t use them in a way that suggests we work with you or endorse you, unless we have agreed to it in writing.
Android TV, Google TV and Google Play are trademarks of Google LLC. Other names and logos belong to their owners.
Copyright complaints
We don’t host or distribute any channels or streams, so we can’t remove anything from a provider’s service. If your complaint is about a stream or a playlist, contact the provider that supplies it.
If you believe something in the app or on our website infringes your copyright, email support@transmitiptv.app until we publish a dedicated copyright page. Please include:
- your name and how we can reach you
- the work you believe is being infringed
- where in the app or on the website you found the material
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised, and that the information in your notice is accurate
No warranty
The app and the website are provided “as is” and “as available”, and the app is still in beta. As far as the law allows, we make no promises that they will:
- work without interruption or errors
- work with your TV, your provider or every stream
- meet your needs
We make no promises about the channels, programmes or guide data you play through the app. They come from your provider, not from us.
Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for:
- indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profit, lost time or lost data
- anything caused by the channels, playlists, guides or services you add, or by your provider
- losing your playlists, settings, favourites or PIN. They are stored only on your TV, so we can’t restore them.
- problems caused by your TV, your network or anything else outside our reasonable control
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, intent, death or personal injury, or anything else that the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
Ending your use
You can stop using Transmit IPTV at any time by uninstalling it. That removes your playlists and settings from the TV.
We may suspend or end your access to the app at any time, for example if you break these terms or when the beta ends. We may also stop offering the app. The sections on ownership, warranty, liability and governing law still apply after your use ends.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the beta ends or the app changes. We’ll post the new version on this page and change the date at the top. If a change is significant and we have your email address, we’ll also tell you by email before it takes effect.
If you keep using Transmit IPTV after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Norwegian law, and disputes go to the Norwegian courts.
If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer law where you live, including your right to bring a claim in your local courts. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.
If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest still applies.
